The Blue Bell Inn, Crookham, is set in some of North East England’s most spectacular countryside. Marvel at the views in the Cheviot Hills, take in the dramatic Northumberland coastline or make the short hop over to the beautiful Scottish Borders. In the winter months, sit back and relax by the wood burning stove and enjoy a traditional country pub at its best. Choose from our selection of guest ales, delicious wines and malt whiskies while we cook you up some good quality homemade food.

We’d love to welcome you to The Blue Bell Inn, whatever the occasion, whether it’s just for a quick bite at lunch or that special family get-together. Our restaurant does get very busy, so it’s best to give us a call to reserve a table whenever possible to avoid disappointment.

My parents were visiting from Australia so we stayed in the cottage at the end of the pub which was great. Two good sized bedrooms. It would be a great place to spend a few days hiking in the area as it was self contained. We ate at the pub for dinner and the portions were huge! My fish was just cooked (30 seconds more in the fryer would have been good) but it was very tasty. Breakfast the next day was very good too with the full English. A lively pub with plenty of very friendly locals to have a chat to. Highly recommend!

Certainly worth a visit. There for lunch, the service was great, the food was great and the staff were very helpful and polite. The choice of food and drink were very good, the portions were more than adequate, piping hot when required and reasonably priced. There is disabled access to part of the venue, and the toilet space is a bit neat depending on the level of disability. Overall it was a good experience, we will go back in the future.

Was so impressed by the welcome we had at this pub. We took our one year old, and our host was wonderfully welcoming, making sure she had crayons, and very friendly and attentive to us through the whole meal. We all had a great time and the food was very tasty too with a good variety on the menu. Would recommend

Really fast and friendly service. Food was really good. A bit more product knowledge would have made this 5 star as it would have helped with menu choices. Really enjoyed our visit and would revisit in the future. We had children's fish finger sandwich, pork and black pudding stack and Sunday lunch.

Our visit is a tale of two halves. A lovely old fashond pub/restaurant. Very nice friendly staff. My wife ordered a beef and vegetable dish which she said was delicious. I ordered a curry which was explained to me as a chicken in breadcrumb with a coconut and honey, spice curry which sounds lovely. However, my chicken was dry and the breadcrumb was very tough and the curry sauce was very bland and tasted nothing like the description. I did complain to the waitress who relayed my complaint to the chef. I did eat it all as I had just driven 200 miles and I was very hungry. We had a desert after and they were nice. I did not expect any refund (which I did not receive) However, I did expect some sort of an apology for the chef.
