Ben Jeffrey5 StarMy parents were visiting from Australia so we stayed in the cottage at the end of the pub which was great. Two good sized bedrooms. It would be a great place to spend a few days hiking in the area as it was self contained.
We ate at the pub for dinner and the portions were huge! My fish was just cooked (30 seconds more in the fryer would have been good) but it was very tasty. Breakfast the next day was very good too with the full English.
A lively pub with plenty of very friendly locals to have a chat to. Highly recommend!Monday 6th June 2022

There for lunch, the service was great, the food was great and the staff were very helpful and polite.
The choice of food and drink were very good, the portions were more than adequate, piping hot when required and reasonably priced.
There is disabled access to part of the venue, and the toilet space is a bit neat depending on the level of disability.
Overall it was a good experience, we will go back in the future.Wednesday 8th June 2022

We took our one year old, and our host was wonderfully welcoming, making sure she had crayons, and very friendly and attentive to us through the whole meal. A bit more product knowledge would have made this 5 star as it would have helped with menu choices.
Really enjoyed our visit and would revisit in the future.

A lovely old fashond pub/restaurant.
Very nice friendly staff.
My wife ordered a beef and vegetable dish which she said was delicious. I ordered a curry which was explained to me as a chicken in breadcrumb with a coconut and honey, spice curry which sounds lovely.
However, my chicken was dry and the breadcrumb was very tough and the curry sauce was very bland and tasted nothing like the description.
I did complain to the waitress who relayed my complaint to the chef. I did eat it all as I had just driven 200 miles and I was very hungry.
We had a desert after and they were nice.
I did not expect any refund (which I did not receive) However, I did expect some sort of an apology for the chef.Sunday 15th May 2022
