Nice Restaurant/Pub in this historic village just off the North Norfolk Coast Road near Sandringham. The food is good and for Sunday lunch you're asked to order ahead. Dishes are good value for money. Our party had Roast Beef and Roast Pork as well as the Roast Butternut squash vegetarian option. All were very good indeed. They have a simple dessert menu that varies but all delicious. Unsure about wheelchair access but they have very modern, very clean loos. There is masses of parking and they are dog friendly!

The friendliest staff & delicious food! Lovely interior (very cozy) & plenty of outdoor eating space. Plus a massive car park. The best part was how dog friendly this business is. My 2 pups were in puppy heaven with how much love they received. Highly recommend eating/drinking here!

A friend and I fancied meeting up and having a look around Castle Rising. With the weather looking to be gorgeous we needed a pub to stop off at for some lunch and a pint. Enter 'The Black Horse Inn'. I was pleasantly surprised at just how nice it was here, the staff were friendly and helpful, kindly helping us find our way when it was time to set off and welcoming us back when we needed a little rest after our walk about. I was a tad shocked at the beer prices, much higher than I'm used to and high enough that I nursed the drink I bought rather than treating myself to a few more. However a big win was the price and quality of the food. £15 for a pub burger and chips is reasonable at this sort of place, in my opinion. I was fully expecting a generic burger, nothing too fancy, but I was completely blown away! Garlic butter on a burger is now a new favourite thing that I'll be trying to replicate, absolutely delicious. Overall it's a nice place to go, the location is great, the pub looks and feels proper, the staff were nice and the food fantastic.

Great setting near to the Castle. Big car park. Loads of room inside and outside to either eat or drink. Very friendly staff. Bit of a wait for food but when it arrived it was more than worth it. I had salmon and as soon as I had my first mouthful I wanted to order it again. Not a massive menu ,however,I think this is better than a huge selection as what there was was very well cooked and presented. Keep it simple is by far the best policy. Even if you just want a drink it's well worth a visit. Only downside to the food was desert menu only three choices. I would have given 5 stars ,however, it lost a star because the time food was served kept moving. Could have been down to staff shortages. We will 100% be back when we are in the area. Already recommended it.
