I had a sandwich in the Mermaid Street Cafe and decided to get the same bread to take home. The bread is simply the best I have ever enjoyed.. Just so fresh and soft. Well done guy's!

Always a good choice of bread available and ready made sandwiches. Cakes are good too! Taste better than local supermarket bread

I went to the bakery because of a recommendation from a friend and it was better than I could’ve imagined, excellent sandwiches and great cakes and great service. I would recommend it to anyone. Definitely be using this great bakery again.

I had to think long and hard before I wrote this review. I bought some sourdough bread , carrot cake and doughnuts. Honesty you can get better in a supermarket. The sourdough was not sourdough, soft couldn’t slice it. Next day it was even worse. The carrot cake , only thing resembling a carrots was the little cut out piece of orange Icing on the top. Had no walnuts in it either, just about tasted of cinnamon. Icing was just that icing sugar, supposed to be made of cream cheese. Doughnuts passable. The whole lot cost me £20.00. Very disappointing when reviews state best beakers in town. Also noticed that they do not use fresh cream in their cakes either .

Have been using the bakery @89 since it open,always enjoy there lovely fresh bread and cakes, have my lunch from there most days, staff are always friendly and polite, well worth visiting when you are in rye.
