The Hungry Horse menu is great and the bar staff were efficient and pleasant, but the food is the main reason for visiting and the place was let down by the way the food was cooked and the cleanliness of the dining area. I ordered and got an all day breakfast and it arrived on a warm plate, which was fine, but the tomato was hard, barely cooked, and barely warm, and the mushrooms and beans were barely warm too. Also, there was tomato sauce and other food on the wall against which we were sitting, and whilst the urinals in the gents were clean the large white pipes running under each urinal were dirty and dusty. So, Hungry Horse menu and bar staff were great, but chef and cleaners are letting the place down. I always seek out Hungry Horse when away from home, and deliberately went to this one, but I'm sorry to say this is one I won't be going to again any time soon.
