An international team of 4 friends undertake the Plymouth to Dakar Challenge a ‘banger rally’ which annually shadows the route of the Paris Dakar Rally. They acquire two pre-loved Mercedes vans and take a 3 week route through Spain, Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Senegal and Gambia.

They arrange to transport prosthetic limbs for a Bristol based charity to a clinic in Gambia providing help to amputees.

Interviewing a number of experts on the 30 year conflict between Morocco and the Saharawi natives, they arrange to meet with Saharawi ‘dissidents’ in the Western Sahara to expose their oppression by Moroccan authorities who they claim are occupying their land and profiting from their national resources. In doing so they evade detection and expulsion by Moroccan authorities and meet UN envoys who are overseeing the conflict.

Struggling to get the vehicles to their destination, they team up with two adventurers driving a fire engine and a crazy Frenchman while crossing the minefields in the Sahara Desert. They encounter a diversity of landscapes, people and cultures en route whilst exploring the nature of tourism, charity and how a disregard of human rights in favour of commercial interests threatens a new war in the Sahara desert.

Lee the wheelbarrow DJ was a total hit at our wedding. His taste in music is fantastic and our guests loved the setup. A really unique and fun addition to our celebration. He was great to engage with, professional and friendly. He took the time to speak to us before hand about the sorts of music and general vibe that we were after and he really delivered. He brought a great selection of records and was a hit with kids and adult alike. We're so grateful for what he added to our big day and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him for any kind of party or celebration to provide great tunes and to add to the party atmosphere.

Lee came to do our joint party with both his Wheelbarrow set up for outside and the cocktail bar for inside. Both were fantastic and worked brilliantly in the setting. Lee's DJing was perfect, reading the crowd and giving everyone a brilliant time. It was also very easy and straightforward dealing with Lee who was always happy to answer and questions or come up with ideas to make the event better. 100% recommended and would definitely use again.

Would highly recommend! Lee provided the music for our wedding - a disco set from his solar-powered wheelbarrow during the afternoon and then a brilliant set in the evening that had everyone dancing. He understood exactly what we wanted, made it happen and brought so much fun to our day. Our guests loved it!

Lee and his wheelbarrow disco were the perfect addition to our festival themed birthday party! It’s such a quirky set up and was a real talking point for our guests! Lee is an excellent communicator and chose a selection of epic bangers to compliment our 80s/90s theme. He even did a short bubble disco for the children! I would love to hire him and ‘Tip of the Pops’ again. Highly recommend!
