About Us

Sunny Hill Park and Camp Site is located in Riding Gate near Wincanton Somerset. It is close to the borders of Wiltshire and Dorset, and half way between London and Exeter. Easily accessed from the A303. The campsite has 5 mobile homes with permanent tenants in them, and a limited amount of electric hook ups for campers. The hook ups are situated looking out at the amazing view.

There is also the hay field below the campsite available for overflow campers without electric hook up. This field makes you realise you are in rural countryside with no houses, etc in view and a special ness of its own.

On the main site, year round, there are six pitches - three hardstanding and three grass. Each pitch on the main site offers an electric hook up, as well as yurts, a shepherd's hut and gypsy wagon, all within easy reach of the shower block and overlooking the valley towards Alfred's Tower.

Electric grass and hardstanding pitches are open from April to October. The Hay Fields non electric pitches are for July and August only. Glamping is available from March to October.

Apart from camping we also offer a yurt and several bell tents with bedding and more throughout the summer, and the shack....number 1 on the site.

We have just spent a lovely 3 nights in the shepherds hut at Sunnyhill Farm. It was absolutely perfect. The accommodation is luxurious compared to our usual tent camping and it was toasty and very comfortable in the hut. There is a hob, a sink with hot and cold water, a good sized fridge and a kettle. All bedding, towels, crockery, utensils and more were provided so really is a home from home. The site itself is lovely as not too big and everything is just a few metres away-parking, toilets and nice hot showers! We loved being round the animals and it was great to experience a little of what it is like to live in the countryside. The owner is extremely helpful and approachable. We used it as a base to explore the area but it would be nice to have the time to spend a day on the site appreciating the outdoors. Thanks for a lovely stay and we'll be back😁

A beautiful setting for a nice relaxed atmosphere. Sandy and her team provide a warm welcome and are always on hand to help. Not your 'normal' kind of site, not too noisy, no video arcades or noisy club house. Just lots of fireside, family and fun

We had the best stay here, despite not heeding electrics or a fridge, it was perfect. Staff were very helpful and it really felt like proper camping with the gas stove and fire put. They had a great performer also. We took our bikes and did lots of cycling and hiking. It’s very well connected. Beautiful little farm. Such a nice stay Thanks
