Our volunteer base is an exuberant mix of veterans (ten years' service and more!), work experience seekers and Duke of Edinburgh participants. We love what we do and having a good laugh while we do it.
Silent Auction events
At least twice a year we run a Silent Auction event. This is a showcase of the many unusual and collectible items donated to the shop; customers are invited to place sealed bids on the lots over a two-week period.
Quirky surprises and bargains
It's a great chance to get a quirky bargain, though sometimes even we get surprised. One of our star lots was a basket of military cap badges which eventually sold for £300.
Knitters welcome
As well as the wonderful donated stock in our shop, If you’re into knitting worry not - we stock new wool of many colours in thicknesses from double knit to super chunky.
