Fantastic venue beautifully done throughout cannot be faulted on this level. But I've eaten here a couple of times now.... tried the bistro which is reasonably good value for money, but the menu is a little limited, but enjoyable. As for the main restaurant, I was disappointed, it's not hugely expensive , but it is priced above average and I was expecting great things , however in my opinion the food was average by which I mean a restaurant price pointed 5 or 8 pounds a main less is thoroughly comparable. Not bad but was it worth the extra outlay , I'll stick yo the bistro.

Lovely place, clearly refurbished by someone who cares. Staff very friendly and attentive. We found the food was good enough for the standard in the area, but not as out of this world as other reviews mention. The vegan sushi was brilliant, could have had three portions of that, but my lobster was dry and covered in way too much sweet chili sauce completely hiding the delicate lobster flavour. Side dishes were OK but again way too much dressing on a small side salad. The style of food felt a bit American like, lots of dressing and sauces covering up flavours instead of celebrating the freshness of the ingredients. We will go back as it is a nice place to have in the area but not 5 stars good.

This is now our favourite restaurant! We had a small birthday celebration there on Sunday lunchtime and nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful staff, they were amazing! The food was delicious too and the overall atmosphere of the place was very high class. Would definitely recommend.

This is a re-review. Having recently added a review, I was very impressed to receive a reply from Stubbs who seemingly took on board my issues. To take the time to personally reply is very classy indeed. My review was indeed candid and I was complimentary about certain aspects of the food which I shall add to - the wife's lamb shank was tender and tasty in a nice sauce, the cordon bleu chicken excellent, the scallops cooked to perfection, the vegetarian sushi colourful and flavoursome and the squid starter fantastic. There were one or two issues which were swiftly resolved by staff who are seemingly trained to a very high standard. The feel and ambience of the establishment are great and will only get better. In light of the decency shown by the restaurant, we shall return. Thank you.

We ate here for Sunday lunch in the Bistro (March 2022). Plenty of parking for a 12:30 booking. The staff are very professional and well mannered. The tables are comfortably spaced so you don't overhear other conversations. The prices seem reasonable for food and wine. The menu choices are limited and as a result the food that comes out from the kitchen is well prepared and of an excellent quality. Will be recommending to friends.
