St. Stephen's church was built in 1882 as a chapel of ease in the picturesque village of Ashill, near Cullompton in Devon. Ashill is a rural village in the ecclesiastical parish of Uffculme and forms part of the Culm Valley Mission Community. This Mission Community comprises the parishes of Uffculme, Willand, Kentisbeare and Blackborough.
