The path to the church was lit by candles in glass jars - a nice touch as it was a dark night and there was no street lighting! The Serenade Singers (Ilminster Community Choir) were there to sing four Carols at the village Carol Service. We enjoyed singing in the choir stalls and there were biblical readings and several carols sung. The vicar's sermon was well received and he finished with a song accompanying himself on his guitar. The oldest part of the church is the chancel which is of medieval origin. I took the opportunity to take some photos as the church seems only to be open during services.
