St Nicolas

Team Vicar: The Revd Paul Smith, Tel: 01235 534654.
Team Rector: The Revd Charles Miller.

St Nicolas is an ancient parish church, which is open to change but also values the traditional. As a result there is a careful balance between the use of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer and the newer Common Worship services. The formal services of Holy Communion and Morning Prayer are complemented by less formal Family Services.

We also live stream our Sunday service at the normal time of 11:15 am. If you would like a link for this, please contact us.
You can also listen to previous service audio and video recordings from St Nicolas.

Candle in the Window (2022, Issue 4, May).

Service sheet for Sunday, May 15th.

Parish office: you can contact the Parish Administrator as usual on [email protected], leave a message on the office phone 01235 520144 or use the new office mobile: 07395 943957.

Christmas gifts for everyone in church today. Loads of gifts perfect for someone's stocking. I bet you'll buy a few bits and bobs.

This is our family church, we got married here in 1989, our daughter christened 1994, our daughter married 2015, and now our grandson christened 2018. We are always made to feel welcome, and as the church is not too big, it helps to not feel overwhelmed. Its a beutiful old building inside & out, with bells. Right in the heart of Abingdon, close to the towns historic county HQ, which is now a museum.

My favourite Church. There as a teenager, married there and both children christened there. Now in my 70's and still love it. 😊
