Our team of dedicated, qualified and experienced staff are committed to providing a happy, safe and stimulating environment for 2 to 5-year-olds. Children have access to a wide range of resources which motivates them to explore, investigate and learn through first hand experience. We actively encourage positive self-esteem and teach children to value themselves and others. We place a strong emphasis on play as we believe this is the best way for pre-school children to learn. Much of that play will take place in our well equipped outdoor area.

Verity Evanson5 StarBoth my children have attended this nursery and I can honestly say that it is amazing. At the forefront are the kind, caring and incredibly knowledgeable staff, who create a warm and nurturing environment for the children. There is notably not the fast turnover of staff that you find in so many other nurseries, and all of the team truly care about the children. Every child is treated as an individual and there is an emphasis on outdoors learning. There is a brilliant level of communication with parents too. I could not recommend this nursery more and am so glad that my children could experience this wonderful place.Thursday 20th July 2023
Linda Mate5 StarA wonderful nursery with amazing teachers! Both of my children were lucky to be part of the setting! The teachers are friendly, kind, supportive, super funny and provide the best care anyone can wish for their little ones. They have brilliant outdoor areas as well as indoor educational facilities. Margo Firaza5 StarI don't know where to start really. The nursery was recommended to us by a close family friend and it was the best choice we have ever made for our son. He loved every day he spent there, always happy to go in at drop off and always smiley at pick up.
His behaviour, speech and confidence grew day by day ... I guess that's because children get a lot of attention there and all activities are well planned ahead so the kids learn something new every day.
The Forest School sessions were a great hit too and if you think this is just taking kids to the woods then you are in for a big surprise.
We have moved on to a big school now but our son often takes us for a walk in the area, we look through the window and he tells us about any changes to the inside ... We then go to follow the forest school paths which he's visited with his teachers and little friends.
Last day was too emotional, knowing we won't be coming back didn't sit well with us nor our son.
Overall, we had a great start over at St Michael's Nursery and do recommend it to everyone.Wednesday 9th November 2022
Isobel Wallace5 StarAmazing nursery, all three of my children came here and it gave them the best possible start. Children have free access the outdoor area with chickens, gingerbread house, mud kitchen, sandpit and climbing frame. Forest school gives them the chance to explore and learn in nature. The staff are so caring and professional and it is a credit to the nursery that many are parents of children who have gone on to school. What a magical place to spend your early years, I cannot recommend it highly enough!Monday 20th March 2023
