Welcome to St Mary’s

St. Mary’s Tatsfield is an Anglican church within the Diocese of Southwark.

We are currently in Vacancy and the process for appointing a new Vicar is underway.  In the meantime we plan to maintain our main 10am Sunday service with music, led by visiting clergy and/or lay people.  All are welcome.  Further information is in our Notice Sheet which can be accessed via the link below.

Notices 14 May 2023

We are a friendly Church and as well as our regular Sunday worship and special services, we also welcome large numbers of visitors, particularly for weekend teas; to our bi-annual flower festival; and for the peace and beauty which are to be found in the building and churchyard.  We also run a popular toddler group on Monday mornings.

You are warmly invited to join us for services or any other activities, or just look around the church when open. We welcome enquires for weddings, baptisms and funerals. If you would like any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Church opening times

Our beautiful church is open Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday from 8.30am to 4.30pm approx.

St Mary’s Sunday Teas

Our popular Summer Teas season commences on Sunday 28th May from 3-5pm in the Millennium Hall.  Visitors old and new are all very welcome to join.

St Mary’s Tatsfield Collection for Foodbanks

Contributions are still very much needed for the Brixton and Westerham foodbanks, which continue to operate.  Non-perishable food that you wish to donate can be left in the receptacle in the Narthex (at the back of the church) when the church is open, or please contact Hilary Vale 01959 577864.  Thank you for your support.  Hilary.

Prayer Requests

We have a prayer request book in the church near the Baptism Font, should you wish to have prayers said on your behalf. If you are unable to visit St Mary’s personally you can email your prayer request to [email protected] or post it to The Rectory, Ricketts Hill Road, Tatsfield TN16 2NA

Attended the church for my Grandson Alfie's Christening on 19th May. What a beautiful church, inside and out. I attended in a wheelchair and everyone was so helpful and friendly. The ceremony was lovely and Alfie was a very well behaved baby and didn't cry once. Thank you for making this a very special occasion for everyone.

Lovely little church, sadly visited for a funeral of a close friend. The service was impeccable, and very respectful. I recommend taking a change of shoes as the churchyard is very sloping and can be muddy.

A delectable little, originally Norman church on the crest of the North Downs, with an impressive view. Completely isolated in the countryside, and nowhere near what passes for the centre of the amorphous plot-land village of Tatsfield.

Beautiful church. Got married here in October 2018. Most peaceful with amazing views from Churchyard over Surrey.

We came here to see if they were serving afternoon teas like they used to. Still in Covid mode, so no teas yet, but lovely to sit in the afternoon sun.
