St Mary’s Church

Steeped in history, St Mary’s is home to a loving and caring Christian community, that God has called together in this place. We gather each Sunday at 8am and 9:30am for worship, and to be nourished and inspired in sharing God’s love.

We love to welcome people of all ages, and alongside our worship at 9:30am on Sunday is our Junior Church, for children aged 3 and upwards. Parents are welcome to join their children at Junior Church in the Parish Room or to join in the worship in the Church. For very young children there is a children’s corner in the church. Our services usually last around an hour, and are followed by refreshments.

During the week, the church is open from 10am to 4pm for you to come in and enjoy the beauty and peace of this wonderful church. We also have a number of weekday services in the Bolton Chapel (within the church building) at which you are welcome to join us:

It is recommended that you continue to wear a face covering in church. If you do intend to remove your face covering please sit in the front half of the church, and please still wear a face covering when moving around the building. Please do not attend church if you have Covid.

Alongside worship, we have Bible Study groups that meet, gardening days, coffee mornings and concerts. Details of all that is happening are shared each week in the Weekly Bulletin. As a charity, we are always grateful for donations to support the work of St Mary’s Church. One off donations can be made via our Give A Little page; regular donations can be set up easily online via the Parish Giving Scheme.
