Squire’s Garden Centre, West Horsley, which has been awarded the GCA’s ‘Highly Commended’ Garden Centre in the South Thames Area 2015. You will find a wide variety of plants, as well as an exciting range of garden furniture, BBQs, garden products, treats, gifts and more. While our friendly, experienced and knowledgeable team are on hand to pass on their expertise.
Whether you are a skilled gardener or completely new to gardening, Squire’s is the ideal place to browse for ideas and inspiration, learn from our well-trained team, and choose beautiful plants, shrubs and trees for your garden.
Our garden centre also has a Café Bar, which was refurbished in December 2018; serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, with comfortable indoor seating and a pavilion, with a retractable roof
There is a comprehensive nursery at this centre and it is where a number of bedding plants for the Squire’s group is grown. It also has a large pet centre and aquatics shop.
We opened an Aquatics Centre in November 2022 (previously home to Maidenhead Aquatics), following a re-fit. The centre is run by Squire’s knowledgeable team, offering advice and service.
Finally, there is an excellent calendar of adult and children’s events that takes place at this garden centre throughout the year.

Syeda Chowdhury3 StarReview of the cafe - we visited 2 times. The drinks are excellent in taste and size (we tried smoothies and iced lattes on two occasions). However, the place is let down very badly by poor service. The waiting staff seem untrained and just very unsure of what to do and where to go. For example, approaching people waiting, remembering to give menus, mixing up orders. Just sitting down as a customer, I could see multiple orders by other customers going wrong. Happened on both occasions we went so does not appear to be isolated incidents. They ask for a tip on the card machine when you pay which obviously is not warranted with such bad service.
If they improved the service the place would be very good. Shame the staff are so poorly trained.Sunday 10th September 2023
kathryn pearce3 StarSquires Garden Center in West Horsley, the place where my taste buds and I have had quite the journey! Back in the day, I used to order their luxurious hot chocolate that came with marshmallows, whipped cream, and a flake. Those servers, though! I'd flash a smile, and voilà, occasionally I'd end up with not one, but TWO flakes. Childhood bliss!
Nowadays, they offer table service – they've upgraded since my flake-chasing days. I've swapped the sugary nostalgia for more grown-up choices like a tuna baguette and chips. But hold on to your wallet; it's a whopping £10, and you're trading salad for chips. And let's be honest, the chips aren't exactly spilling over the plate.
Portion sizes have shrunk faster than my willpower during a dessert menu perusal. Value for money? Squires seems to be testing the boundaries there. But hey, I do find solace in working on my laptop in their extension/conservatory, although in winter, you better bundle up; it's like an icebox in there.
Not many power sockets to keep your laptops buzzing with productivity. And when lunchtime hits, especially during school holidays, it's a symphony of joyful chaos.Wednesday 13th September 2023
