We had an excellent time with Mark at South Downs Sourdough. Lovely B&B which we stayed at before the course, and was happily located in a lovely village with an excellent pub for food and beer. It was a Sourdough education, and we came home with bread, pizza dough and a whole new approach to baking. Great time had as a couple and highly recommended It works!

A fun and very satisfying day at South Downs Sourdough making two different loaves and a pizza base - all of which tasted great. Mark was very informative and clear in his explanations, providing knowledge not just of the how-to but also of the science behind the art of sourdough bread making. With no previous bread making experience, I came away inspired, fully equipped and confident that I will bake tasty sourdough loaves at home.

Wonderful day making all sorts of sourdough !! Including starters and pizza dough ! Loved the little shop too so that I could buy the essentials !! The lunch was delicious and the day very relaxing .. would thoroughly recommend especially for those starting out on their bread making journey !!

We had an absolutely lovely day with Mark at South Downs Sourdough. We packed so much into the day and returned home laden with goodies! Mark is so knowledgeable, we learned so much during the day. It was topped off by a delicious lunch.

Just wanted to say a big thank you for today. You demystified the whole starter process for me and introduced me to some great ideas for making sourdough loaves and pizza base. I’ll now explore how I can further develop these by adding seeds, olives etc... It was a really enjoyable day - informative, practical and fun. Thank you. My daughter and kids loved the still warm whole meal loaf which was lovely with butter and some of my homemade jam. I am looking forward to trying the rye one tomorrow. I’ll certainly be recommending your training to anyone who wishes to develop their bread making skills.
