I recently moved to Somerton and although more than happy with my previous garage in Glastonbury I decided to look for a more local garage that I could walk to and from if necessary. Having read the reviews of Somerton Motor Co, (which I have to say are absolutely spot on)! I took my car to be checked as it was behaving very strangely with oil light and engine performance light on and sounding like an old diesel taxi and loss of power (it's a petrol car). It's 20 years old so wasn't holding out much hope, but wanted to get it repaired if at all possible. I spoke with Jim initially, and despite being incredibly busy he took the time to have a good look at my car and gave me an idea of what might be the problem, which was a filter problem in the sump. (I'm not technical so a few basic details from me)... He told me to bring the car in for a proper diagnosis a few days later but said that nothing major would be done without contacting me first. I left my car not expecting to hear anything for some time. Two days later, I was contacted and told I could come and pick up my car! So delighted with the service I received, and the reasonable cost, and such nice people there. I'm including Nigel in this as well. They obviously take pride in their work and go out of their way to help. Definitely my go to garage and would recommend them highly. Oh, just to say, Jim's initial diagnosis was correct... obviously have loads of experience and love cars.

Fantastic! I would not hestiate in recommending this company. This garage are trustworthy, reliable, friendly, honest and I cannot fault them in their service or attitude. Absolutely 5 star in every respect. I even received a follow up call after collecting my car following its repair, to check that everything was okay. I was also allowed to use their loan car at no extra expense. If you ever have the misfortune to breakdown on a small country lane near Somerton, these are the guys that can help! They have a real 'can do' attitude and they are so professional and knowledgeable. What an asset to a small village to have such a company on the doorstep.
