Fine Dining Experience
At Somerset House we provide nutritious home-cooked meals for our residents created by our in-house chef, Neil. Our menus are updated on a weekly basis and in consultation with our residents. We strive to source local ingredients and our chefs are always happy to make dishes to order.
Neil’s challenge is to keep residents excited about coming to the dining table for their meals, every single day. Each dish is individually plated by his team and served to the table, with our hospitality team are on hand to look after residents both during and in between meal-times, ensuring everyone is happy and fed.

Juliette Turner5 StarMy mother was only in this care home temporarily as she was recovering from a fall at home but she received excellent care. All the staff were "lovely" (though Lena got a particular mention!) and the home itself very comfortable. She even liked the food. She told me that she is "very grateful for everything they did for me". This is high praise indeed from a lady who a) had a very jaundiced view about care homes and b) can be rather hard to please. Certainly all the staff I spoke to on the phone were very pleasant and helpful and it was a great relief to know she was being so well cared for. We hope she can remain living independently for a long time yet but if the time comes when she needs care, this will be the first home we will consider.Thursday 4th March 2021
Christine Henderson5 StarWhat a fabulous place. The residents are treated with respect and given plenty of choice. It’s a beautiful building complete with conservatory, set in well manicured gardens. The staff are absolutely lovely. Made us all feel extremely welcome and couldn’t have done anymore to help Jenny settle in. Her room has everything she needs and everywhere is spotless. Her dietary requirements are being met with a good varied menu. Well done and keep up the good workSaturday 1st February 2020
Brill Cleaning1 StarAvoid. From our point of view the standards of care are very low. We had cause to complain on several occasions due to missed drinks, no blanket given, food charts not complete. Lots of other homes that provide a higher standard of care where you are confident that your loved one is in safe hands and we certainly did not feel assured that this home was one of theseThursday 13th June 2019
