When I visited this store on Tuesday 16th of August we picked up 2 sticker books amongst other toys and games the whole shelf was full of these books all with labels showing the make of the book in question and the price 8.99 so let my child pick 2 of them up to then be charged 36pound odd at the tills when asked they said 1 was 19.99 and the other around 16pound odd if I remember correctly but see pictures for exact price charged and see pics for shelf prices the whole shelf contained these books with labels under them with the books name on and not 1 label said anywhere near that price but then I was approached by a man dressed in normal clothes to tell me he was moving things around and when I explained the whole shelf was labelled with not only prices but they was for the same make of book and his answer was "So what I don't care im moving things around so I will not be discounting them so take it or leave it" As he was aggressive I just chose to ask for a refund instead as I was not willing to pay around 37pound for books I can get online for 12 pound for both All other shelfs that was being moved had all prices removed but we was told the shelfs with prices on was still OK but then to find out this so I don't get the guys problem I shop here ever Christmas and birthdays for my 3 kids and to be spoke to like summet someone stood in like I was the stupid one when we was told 1 thing but he's doin another anyway I will not return to this store again after this Never had this problem instore before and the till staff was nice about the whole thing it was the guy dressed in plain clothes I think someone mentioned he was a merchandiser or summet they said but don't hold me to that I personally thought he was a manager as he even spoke to me onway into store and in normal clothes see all pics for prices shows and prices charged

Absolute disgrace of a store. Extremely unprofessional, rude and discriminatory staff who have little regard for customer service. My visit to simply purchase a PS5 yesterday was nothing short of shambles, despite website showing 15 in stock. Racists staff, judgemental, DEMANDING I.D, and the manager Kaydee is nothing short of disgraceful who behaved like she owned Smyths. A total liability. Do NOT visit this store to be dealt with bullies who will undermine and degrade you at every opportunity. No response either to my request/complaint for Head Office to investigate and review cctv footage. STAY AWAY and spend your hard earnt cash elsewhere

Went shopping with my son and his partner to buy a pram ahead of my first grandchilds arrival. The store is large, well stocked and sells a wide range of products from new born upwards. Lots of equipment for babies and children available as well as too many toys to mention... Well worth a visit and I guarantee you will not come out empty handed! There were plenty of staff around although I observed that on the day I visited they were all young. As with lots of youngsters these days, they were not particularly people friendly and at no point did anyone approach us offering to help. This would put me off visiting again I'm afraid as it does not make for good customer satisfaction. For this reason, 4 stars given.

Love getting my Christmas and Birthday presents from here, great selection of funko POPS only problem it's the free book doesn't always show what they have in store

Much better now it's loads bigger but all I could see and think of is Toysrus. It's like they're a carbon copy of the ill fated Toysrus. Made me a bit sad. I loved Toysrus and got talking to another customer in Smyths who said the same. Let's hope Smyths doesn't end the same way.
