This is a heavenly place to go if you like trees. It takes a couple of hours to see all. Stroll through the variety of trees. The flowers I.e rhodedendrons and azaleas are bought in from Lea gardens in Matlock another place worth a visit. There is a small car park and it is £5 entrance fee unless you are a member of the horticultural society. The village it is in is tiny but there is the smisby restaurant and pub you can eat in between 9 and 2pm or 5pm until 9pm. It has it's own car park. Of course you will need to book if it is a weekend. It's a wonderful world out there enjoy !!

A good sized and well equipped village hall in the centre of the village. Run on a charitable basis and reasonably priced hire rates. Great for clubs, meetings, parties, workshops etc. Plenty of good quality tables and chairs and an excellent kitchen area. No car park so you have to park outside on the Main Street which can be a bit of a squeeze so needs consideration for local residents. There is a large modern wall mounted TV suitable for presentations and films. Couple of steps up to entrance. Overall excellent. Warm, clean, modern.

A small hall but well set in the middle of Smisby. Just be aware that parking will be in the road outside. But we were ok with a party for 60 guests and their cars. There is a small area where you can make drink and prepare food. Also a fridge.
