In that respect I've always been happy. A large portion is huge - easily feeds 3 and that's a hungry 3. Price is reasonable. Are there quite a lot of "hard crunchy" chips, as some reviewers have complained about. I'd say yes - and I wish there were more! Some crispy chips mixed in with the soft fat ones is great. As for the reviewer who complained about the chips being fried more than once... Heston Blumenthal cooks his three times! about 3 weeks ago I rang the shop to say that I was a little disappointed with the size of the fish my wife and I had. The lady owner was VERY NICE about this and asked me to call in when I returned from my holiday. I did so yesterday 29.11.22 and she was even nicer in person, two free (generous) potions FOC, an apology. I NOW feel a little guilty about complaining, but I must say the replacements were delicious and I highly recommend the this chip shop. THANK YOU. Delicious! The staff are very friendly and helpful. I’ve been there many times and it has never disappointed me. I would highly recommend this first and chip shop. There kids box comes with a lollipop and fruitshoot (you can choose between blackcurrant and orange).Reasonable price as well.They also do cold drinks, pies and more!

Hubbies fish n chips was ok sadly I asked for chicken breast but got home to a thigh...not end of the world but it fell to bits and was SO dry really disappointed as tried after a recommendation
