We travel from the Okehampton area to come to this butcher. Why? Simply because it is well worth the trip. The quality of the meat is superb and the staff so friendly and helpful. The products are beautifully displayed and the premises are spotless. You can buy huge amounts or one chop. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff are happy and smart. I cannot fault this business and will continue to support them. Thanks so much. So much better than going to a supermarket.

Beautiful rib of beef for a family lunch. Had problems carving it as it was so tender it kept falling of the bone.

Traditional butcher serving excellent quality fresh meat and meat products. Difficult to single out any particular fresh meat cut as they are all superb but particular fond of the thick cut double lamb chops. Pork sausages are to die for, really fresh sweet tasting pork and in my opinion it would be really rude not to purchase a couple of Sams Pasties if you visit, you won't regret it. Having recently moved from Wiltshire we feel fortunate to have found a truly excellent butcher.

Went in just before 5 on a friday night as they were about to close, hoping for a few sausages for our tea. Left about half an hour later with sausages, free range duck breasts and three enormous T-bone steaks cut as we watched from a 42-day aged beef rib. Also got a tour of the cold rooms and a free mug from main man Sam! Was the meat good? Sausages were excellent, though I have probably had as good from other butchers, but the steaks… they were quite literally the best I've ever had. The sirloin side of the T was melt in the mouth tender, but the fillet side was just exquisite, and with that slight gamey flavour that comes with aging. Coming in at about 7.50 each, they were certainly an affordable holiday treat. Would that we had a butcher this good in our home town: might have to move to South Molton
