Popped in to ask if they stocked the tiny silicone toggles for elastic on facemasks. Lo and behold before I even asked, I saw a couple of small containers prominently placed in the centre of any empty counter. Yay! I thought. I can crack on and make masks for all my family. I asked the price and was told by the surly young female assistant that they were 4 for a pound. I couldn't believe it! Now I know businesses have to make a profit, especially in these difficult times, but that's just taking the mick and taking advantage of the situation we are all in. I know the wholesale cost of haberdashery, I was in the trade myself. So I declined, and did show my surprise at the price being asked. I most definitely won't be going in that shop again! Purchased 200 for 3 pound from Amazon.
