Bedroom 1: With super king bed, 43" Smart TV, French doors leading to the terrace, built-in double wardrobe with hangers, and en-suite with a large walk-in shower, sink vanity unit, illuminated demister mirror, toilet and heated towel rail.

Bedroom 2: With zip and link super king bed (can be made into twin beds on request prior to arrival), 43" Smart TV and en-suite with a large walk-in shower, sink vanity unit, illuminated demister mirror, toilet and heated towel rail.

Utility room: Door leading out to hotub, separate shower room with walk-in shower for hot tub use, wall hung basin and toilet, heated towel rail

Facilities are new, modern and in full working order. But the cabin is attached to another one, you practically share the same outside decking. I could imagine you could hear the others talking or if their TV is on. Not a picture of tranquility. You can also hear the train and traffic noise from motorway 24/7. Most bizarre is we notice there is zero screening/partition between any cabin to provide privacy. Everything is wide open. And there are over 10 cabins and feet from each other. The hot tub is also very close to the only access way used by all the cars in/out of the park. You’d visible to all the traffic sitting in the hot tub, and can certainly hear the noise of cars. There is also a farm on the other side of the fence of the park. From staying in holiday cottages for well over 10 years, I’d imagine it could have strong smell (but not when we were there admittedly). All in all, a clean and hygienic stay but far from the tranquility and peace advertised.

Feb 2022: Just returned from wonderful week in Saxon Maybank Stags Retreat. The lodge was absolutely beautiful, had everything we needed for our stay … and the wine chocolates and milk in fridge where very welcome indeed after travelling. The hot tub was heaven after a long day exploring, looking at the relaxing views across the fields or later at the stars, and drinking wine (despite being rather windswept on couple of nights!). When sun was out the decking space was ideal spot for breakfast or to read a book with a coffee. We loved Durdle door, and Lyme Regis, lunch in Axminster at River cottage kitchen was delicious.

Explained that bed was infested in bed bugs on the emergency number and they said what do you want me to do and hung up instead of offering an alternative place or trying to think of a solution
