Went into Sainsbury's Tadley this past Sunday about 3:50pm mainly to pick up a few bits from Argos. I was very impressed with the helpfulness of the young lady at Argos. Very Friendly, Fast and Professional. Good prices for products at Argos. Then I got a few bags of reduced mini donuts from Sainsbury's Bakery. Waited to pay at till for them, switched checkouts as I was in a rush, and then realised that there was a checkout closed sign up. The Lady at Checkout (I believe she was Asian) kindly still served me. The checkout She was at was the one furthest away from those awful Self Scan tills. I would have rated this store 5 Stars based on the 2 wonderful ladies that helped me, however I'm not a fan of Self Scan and this store has a lot of them. Self Scan are the Death of Retail Jobs, Especially Checkout Jobs.

Generally good, most staff are friendly and helpful with the odd exception. Downside is always the stock, can never guarantee they have what you need and the moving around of the aisles is getting irritating.

My experience here today was disheartening. Staff are for the most part fine but some become very rude coming close to closing time. They aren't the only people on planet earth who have a job and want to get home. A little bit of kindness would go a long way. Today you forced a mother with a baby and a huge trolly full of shopping to use a self checkout designed for only a baskets worth of items. She was doing her weekly shop but thanks to you, she was struggling and stressed. It took four or five maybe even more transactions in the end because tills were closed and small self service ones were the only option. They even turned the lights down low so she was doing it in darkness. I wish I could have stayed and helped her but people were quite literally being forced out the doors at 4.01pm as soon as they'd parted with their cash. This supermarket is overpriced, rarely stocked well at all, generally quite shabby and it lets the Sainsbury's brand down in my opinion.

It's a sainsbury's, what can I say? We don't have one where I live so rarely visit a sainsbury's. This one seemed well stocked, prices were average and comparable to other supermarkets.
