Ruth Kidson5 StarHaving had a poor experience with two sets of builders and a dreadful experience with a third when renovating our last house in Sussex, it was with some trepidation that we hired S1 Builders to remove a large chimney breast from the kitchen and the room above it in our new house in Norfolk. But our experience with Stefan and his team was so different:
• They turned up on time. They said 8.00. to 8.30. and every morning they were here by 8.10. and ready to start work
• They put in a full day’s work, never leaving before 4.30. and, on two occasions, staying later than that
• They were pleasant and friendly but got on with the work and didn’t waste my time talking about themselves, their families or the films they'd seen
• They worked methodically and were meticulous about keeping the area clean.
• Every day before they left I was told what they’d done and what they planned to do the following day
• The standard of work was high and we were consulted throughout the process.
• They allowed two weeks for the work and finished a day early.
