2018 saw a busy year for Rolfes Butchers, opening up a second butchers shop in Elmswell, carrying with it all of our original ethics of traditional butchery methods, fresh, high quality produce and customer service.

Jane Storeybusiness5 StarHave bought 3 kilos if mince this week - having read the Facebook page on Monday... now have 8 portions of chilli, 53 1oz meatballs and 8 portions if bolognese sauce, all in the freezer. I love knowing where my meat comes from and that the quality is so good. I also bought some minty lamb pasties... delicious.

Peter Smith1 StarI am very much a supporter of local business, but my recent experience is very unfortunate. My wife is not a big red meat eater, but every now and again gets the hankering for some. I bought two sirloin steaks yesterday and after the normal prep, cooked them medium rare, they were as tough as old boots and very sinewy, we threw most of it away. when the butcher cut them off the bone for me I remarked that the meat looked rather dark, not pinky red as you normally see it, he replied it had been hanging for 4 weeks, implying that is a good thing. Sad as I do like to support local business. I probably will go back as everyone deserves a second chance, but not for steak.Thursday 11th May 2017
