Stapleford’s town centre finds the main shopping area situated along the Derby Road offering a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars.

Traditional pubs include the “CAMRA” award winning “Horse & Jockey” which serves the “Full Mash Brewery” brewed in Stapleford.  Others well worth a visit include The Man of Iron, The Old Cross and the “Sir John Borlase Warren” which is now a Wetherspoons.

Two other establishments of note are just along the road in Sandiacre – Buonissima is a vibrant and stylish bar and La Rock is an award winning restaurant, hugely popular, you’ll need to book!

There is a great selection to suit everyone’s taste and budget, why not try the Sanctuary Coffee House, Vevo Italian Restaurant, Gurkha Curry Nights, The Gusto Café or “Cinnamon” Indian Cuisine.

The town centre offers a wide variety of both national and independent retailers including Sainsbury’s Local, Aldi, Lidl and a larger Tesco Extra is just a 10 minute drive away in neighbouring Toton.  Birds Bakery, Iceland and Poundstretcher are other big names in the town along with any number of local retailers.

Stapleford provides a number of local health services with doctors based at the care centre on Church Street and the Hickings Lane Medical Centre.  Opticians, dentists and pharmacies are also well represented.

For leisure time, there are a number of public parks and footpaths some of which link to the “Nutbrook Trail”, a 10 mile traffic free path that runs between Trent Lock in Sawley through Long Eaton, Sandiacre, Stapleford and on to Shipley Park, following Erewash Canal.

The “Hemlock Stone” a monolith of red sandstone formed over 200 million years ago, sits proud on a hillside on the outskirts of the town, situated in a conservation area adjacent to Bramcote Park, a large open space for families to explore, dog walking and exercise.

There is a reliable public transport system with a comprehensive bus service operated by Trent Barton linking Nottingham, Derby, Ilkeston and Beeston.  The “Park and Ride” for the Nottingham tram is located on the outskirts of Stapleford on the border with Toton.

Whether you are looking to buy or rent, Stapleford has something for everyone: Victorian terraced houses, larger period homes, traditional 1930s semi and modern four bedroom family homes.

I would like to say a massive thank you to Wendy West and Millie Sutton from Robert Ellis Lettings in Stapleford Nottingham. I have a couple of properties that until recently were managed by a Leading national letting agency. The service received from them was unknowingly poor. I say unknowingly because I had no experience of any other letting agency. I decided that I would shop around to see what other letting agencies had to offer. I knew of Robert Ellis Ltd and so made an initial enquiry. I was introduced to both Wendy and Millie who came to take photos in preparation to market a flat that had just become empty. The personal service was second to none. I immediately was made to feel valued and not just another number or client. From then on I knew I was in good hands.
