Welcome to Rice Boat – serving delicious, traditional Kerala food in Cambridge. Our cuisine is a step away from the usual ‘British Curry’. It’s fresher, healthier and as close as we can get it to home cooking.

Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan foods

The traditional cuisine of Kerala includes lots of lentils and fresh vegetables. As a result, our menu contains a wide array of gluten free, vegan and vegetarian dishes. These are authentic Kerala dishes rather than substitutes. If someone in your group doesn’t want to feel self-conscious about their dietary requirements we provide a varied and welcoming place to take them. If you have any questions just call ahead or ask us when you get here. We’ll be delighted to explain any ingredients and help you choose a dish that suits you.

Halal food

Our lamb and chicken is certified Halal by Booker. Unfortunately our beef is no longer Halal certified due to issues with suppliers.
