I am incredibly proud to be the Headteacher at a school that truly serves its community and affords its young people every opportunity to be the very best that that they can be. Rhyddings has a strong tradition and sense of family, where every pupil is valued and has a feeling of belonging. This is underpinned by first class pastoral care, through a Year Leader System, where every pupil is made to feel safe but also supported and challenged to do their very best.

After an extensive period away I am delighted we have returned to our £10 Million re-developed site, you can read more about that here or hear it in the media press release.

Our curriculum offers a range of courses tailored to meet the needs of every individual, including many extra-curricular opportunities and enrichment activities. This prepares all our young people to be the best that they can be academically; so that when they leave through our gates in the summer of their final year they have the currency in qualifications to be competitive but more than that they are well rounded, considerate and compassionate young people with the knowledge and skills to be successful throughout their adult lives – This is the ‘Rhyddings Way’

I totally 100% do not agree with the review that "Prince Richmond" published on good about rhyddings business and enterprise school and about its head teacher because the head teacher is a kind and respectful man with high expectations and standards which your child/children may not be able to reach. All humans use bad language its a normal common thing no one is perfect so you have no right to be pin pointing at Mr trickery about what he may or may not have said. In my own opinion you are making up a load of lies to give the school a bad rep. The school is great and so is Mr trickett and the rest of the staff here. So please next time you want to write reviews about the school I study at, and its teacher write the truth and not a bunch of lies, people spend their time wisely but then there's people like you who sit typing lies.

Absolutely rubbish school!!! Would never want to experience it again and would not recommend anyone to either. The levels of discrimination and hypocrisy at this school is disgusting and unbelievable. To start with, it is the responsibility of the staff at the school to set standards and develop themselves as good role models but how is that possible when the headteacher (Paul Trickett) starts using foul language aimed at a student behind closed doors to let out his anger. Not to forget about Paul Trickett's son who was a student years ago famously known for his 'bad boy' racist attitude who was excluded for something a little embarrassing which I would love for someone to bring up during a meeting with the headteacher. I can go on all day about Paul Trickett and his shady affairs especially the car meets on Ellison St Accrington. The majority of the staff at the school are brilliant but it is a shame that a handful of them have let down the rest of the school and its reputation which was at one point really good under Barry Burke. Please note that this review is not to defame the school or tarnish its image, it is letting everyone know the truth about the school and most importantly it's headteacher. It has to be done because its the same culprits over and over again who just keep getting away with it and think they are so smart just because they are hidden by their so called corporate suits and job titles.
