We are deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. Our thoughts and condolences are with the Royal Family at this moment of great sadness. 

As a mark of respect our shops will be closed on Monday 19th September.

Welcome back to all our customers, staff & volunteers – all of our shops will now open (in line with government guidelines) from Monday 12/4/21, except for Crediton, Dartington/The Restore & Buckfastleigh who reopen Tuesday 13/4/21.

We look forward to resuming our core mission of helping to reduce waste and alleviate poverty through the free collection of reusable household goods for provision to local people at affordable prices – and cheaper still (20% discount) for people on benefits.

All of our shops will follow Covid-19 safe procedures such as wearing masks/face coverings, social distancing and hand washing. Thank you for your co-operation and patience during this period and respecting the rights of others to feel safe when shopping at Refurnish regardless of your personal views.

Refurnish are now Countywide!

The charity has recently taken on three new shops based in North Devon widening their catchment area across Devon to Barnstaple, Bideford & South Molton. Merging with the charity formerly known as SMR Phoenix, David Banks, Chief Executive of Refurnish Devon, has worked closely with David Winter the charities new operations manager to save the shops from closure. SMR Phoenix have provided similar services to the residents of North Devon since 1986. By joining with Refurnish, it not only allows the shops to continue to deliver these facilities, but by adopting many of the successful practices Refurnish have established already, they hope to continue to grow & build on the strengths of both charities by uniting together under one umbrella.
