We like things out of the ordinary. Standing 75cm tall & 60cm wide, these 3 Czechoslovakian light fittings from the cold war era are just that. Adapting these fittings and making them work again was very satisfying!Initially, only 1 of the 3 fittings worked with it's original gear tray and 250W... We found this naughty "fix" while carrying out an Electrical Installation Condition Report "EICR".Always replace a fuse with the correct type and rating! My electrics kept tripping out but there didn't seem to be a specific issue. Ricky came round promptly and checked all the sockets in the circuit until he found the sources of the problems. It turned out to be more than one thing. A light fitting in the shed and a socket in the kitchen had started to melt. I am extremely grateful to Ricky being so thorough and continuing to check every socket.
