In November 2008 R & G Hair opened its doors and we have since become East Dorset’s premier hair salon, priding ourselves on giving our guests the best experience.
Since October 2013, we have grown our business further, with the help of Aveda and their vision ‘to care for the world we live in’. Fully supporting their cruelty-free products which are, naturally derived, kind to the environment and now completely VEGAN since January 2021.
We offer the very latest in hair colouring and cutting, using Aveda’s 97% naturally derived vegan hair colour, led by our highly skilled and talented hair stylists who love keeping up to date with the latest trends and styles.
In August 2017, we added our three treatment rooms and became an Aveda Concept Salon. We offer a wide range of beauty treatments from waxing, nails, facial and bespoke aroma massages, all carried out by our Aveda trained therapists. . .

t p1 StarDO NOT use this salon unless you want colour seep onto your scalp, orange and yellow hair tones, a lack of knowledge (tried to cover grey three times and did not work). I tried four times for this salon to rectify. I did not want to attend again for them to ruin my hair further and Mel the 'manager' put the phone down on me whilst I was asking for a refund. I never write reviews but this salon is a joke trust me. In the end I had to go to another salon to get them to put toner on (reeves & gallagher said this would not work - it did) and will have to pay for colour to be rectified further. Was invited to go back to Reeves & Gallagher to put right - I don't think so thanks!Thursday 31st March 2022
Indie Hendersonx5 Stari had the most beautiful full head of highlights from shaynee and honestly i don’t think i’ve ever been so happy coming back from a hair salon ever!! if you have the opportunity to then definitely book in with her as she’s a godsend when it comes to highlights! i also got my hair cut by megan a couple of months ago and i was so so pleased with it as she cut my hair beautifully:) definitely recommend this salon it’s the best one i’ve ever been too! thank you so much everyone xxxThursday 21st April 2022
