Worst customer service, food is too bad one pizza not fully cooked. Most of the tables were empty but no one attended table. We have waited and greeted many times for attending the table every time they said 5min. Waited 30 minutes to give order. Wash room is so dirty near hand was area used tisses everywhere no one cleaned. Cutleries just thrown on the bare table, bad pizza toppings you can see the pictures. They don't follow hygienic way of serving the food.

Food was okay and a good ambiance but service was appalling. Even though the restaurant wasn’t busy, nobody met me when I entered, and I stood like a lemon for a couple of minutes. Then after I was seated and had chosen what I wanted I waited ages to be served.. I was waving my arms wildly to get attention, but the staff were having a huddle and just not very observant. Sat there ages after finishing my main, and had to ask a server to take my plate away and bring back the dessert menu.

Service was incredibly slow. Which was odd because fast turnaround would make more sense at motorway services. One pizza was too spicy despite having ordered it numerous times at other restaurants, it's normally my go-to pizza. This time it was as though they had added chilli oil. We were already running late due to slow service and would have been unable to wait for it to be remade so I ate it but will not be getting food here again.

Arrived at 18:50 tonight and didn't leave until gone 20:30. No idea what the hell's happened with the service here, but it's seriously gone downhill! We were welcomed and told some items weren't available on the menu, then seated and left for 20 minutes without waiter service. Starters took over half an hour to arrive without cutlery, then over 20 minutes for mains. One couple was trying to get attention for the bill, another group behind us got so impatient they resorted to take out, and one poor chap was left for well over 50 minutes without food and walked out. It was at 1/3 capacity on a Monday evening...!?

This was a new menu since my last visit to a pizza express some time ago. It was reasonably busy but lacked atmosphere due to the echo filled sound. The accept tesco clubcard points and it was easy to use these. It was lovely to find a branch on a motorway services. Toilets were clean. Overall a good experience .
