Booked a skip on Weds, asked for it to be delivered on Friday and it was. Phoned 9.30am to ask to be collected and they collected later that afternoon. Friendly staff on the phone (Nicky and Harley). Definitely recommend!

I am not one for giving customer feedback and actually resent firms who think it is OK to ask for feedback for providing the most basic tasks. However, I feel compelled to write and thank Donoghue for the marvellous service I recently received when ordering a skip and then having it removed (full) two days later. Having ordered my skip several weeks in advance, I had to change my delivery date twice to coincide with my builders, the last change being less than 24 hours before my rescheduled delivery. This was done without fuss over the telephone by a friendly and cheerful customer service operator. The delivery was on time and even occurred while I was still asleep! Collection was equally well organised without fuss and arranged ahead of your “normal” collection times. I really must compliment your customer service team who were a real pleasure to deal with. Well done for providing an excellent service and doing so in a curious and friendly manner. And for not asking for “customer feedback” as a matter of course. If. a supplier goes above and beyond expectation, they will get positive feedback by way of customer referrals and word of mouth. And even a few, like me, who feel compelled to thank you in writing.

AVOID!!! Would definitely NOT RECOMMEND them if you need your skip delivered on a certain date! We needed a skip over the weekend but it had to be gone by the following Friday as we were having our driveway done. Called on the Thursday and were told that a Saturday drop off was possible so we booked it for then, the payment was taken straight away and we made arrangements with friends to help us out on the Sunday. It was supposed to arrive any time between 8am and 1pm. At 11.30am, we thought we’d better call to check it was on its way. That’s when it all started to go wrong. The guy who answered the call told us that it had ‘accidentally’ been booked for the Monday instead but that all the drivers had finished work for the day so nothing could be done about it! He said we could speak to a manager on Monday. It was too late to find another company to deliver that day and we weren’t sure either that they’d refund our money if we cancelled this skip anyway. Early Monday morning it did arrive but I had work in South London that week so was forced to make hour and a half trips back each evening, instead of staying down there, in order to get the clearance task done. No friends available to help out midweek either. It caused us a HUGE inconvenience. OK so human errors happen to the best of us but any good company who ‘prides themselves on offering a first class service’ and wants a reputation for ‘being the best’ (as they state on the message while you are on hold) surely would compensate for not fulfilling their agreement? Sadly not. After not having our calls returned until the Friday (we’d been calling about this every day since the Monday), they point blank refused to give any partial refund for the problems it had caused. I find it unbelievable that even a few quid off was not entertained for their breach of contract. I am quite sure that if any ‘human error’ were to occur on the part of the customer, they would be quite happy to charge extra for any inconveniences caused to them! VERY DISAPPOINTED with this service and particularly their attitude.
