We have been dealing in wines for over 30 years
We are a family run business. Our shop is based in Ullnes Walton, near Preston in Lancashire.
The shop, wine cellar and petrol garage were established by the Gilson family over 30 years ago.
Mark Gilson, the second generation of the family still maintains the family-run values
which have made it such a success.

Trudi Bond5 StarUse here for returning parcels via Hermes along with it being a local shop, petrol station and are RENOWNED FOR THEIR WINES. They have a MASSIVE collection of wines they sell (along with other alcohol). "Gilson's" as it is locally known has all the normal petrol pumps, air, car wash (do it yourself one) along with being a very well stocked local amenity and also do the Hermes parcel returns. Very friendly, polite and curtious staff who will help you with anything.... I went in to return 4 small parcels...now on Amazon, you can return parcels with Hermes and under the option it states to NOT PACKAGE ANYTHING UP. JUST TAKE IT TO A SHOP THAT DOES IT, HAND THE RETURNS OVER AND THE STAFF WILL DO THE REST.......OK.....So, I handed a vape kit still with outer clear wrap on, no problem.... a set of ear buds unopened and boxed up, no problem....now this is where it got a bit amusing.....I handed her a SHOWER HEAD saying "I was going to put it in a padded envelope but it said not to" ......well, YOU CAN IMAGINE....I showed her the return option instructions on amazon and I said..."I take you are not aware of this" and she was like..."apparently not"...almost laughing but the best one was THE FISH with a USB charger (moves its tail fins when touched... for cats) and she just turned to her colleague and held it up and tried not to laugh.....I was like....."I KNOW" BUT THATS WHAT IT SAYS TO DO!!!" Well, the looks on their faces were as if the fish had slapped them round the chops and then tickled under their chins with its fins!!! I'm just glad I remembered to switch it off or I think she would have had kittens and dropped it!!!🤣🤣🤣
Anyway, that's what happened on my visit. The staff took it all in their stride, had a laugh about it all and dealt with them accordingly.....it was an amusing visit and shows how lovely the staff are when confronted by a shower head and a fish!!!Friday 7th January 2022
