It was a complete delight to spend two nights at Abby's wonderful farmhouse. She is a wonderful host, with a gift for putting you at ease and making you feel entirely at home from the moment you arrive (via the gorgeous garden!). The room and the bed were perfect, but it was the personal touches that we most appreciated: little vases of fresh-cut flowers in the room and bathroom, home-made apple porridge (delicious) and so on. Stayed here for a long weekend and booked all 3 rooms, Abby couldn't do enough for us. Offering homemade cake and drinks on arrival she is a fantastic host. Rooms are all lovely and the beds and bedding are luxurious, so comfy. Breakfast was the best I've had in a B&B, ever!

We had a lovely 3 night stay in July 2022. The accommodation is perfect and very clean. Abby the owner is such a nice lady and nothing is too much trouble. Her breakfasts were so good, great variety and really tasty. (Homemade granola is a winner!)😁 Outside, the gardens are such a lovely place for a stroll with all the flowers in bloom with great views of the surrounding countryside. The rooms are all excellent. We booked the whole b&b for the weekend for a family get together. We stayed in the Elm room on the top floor and it was perfect. The bed is the star of the show here. So big, extremely comfortable and the duvet, well, I'm thinking of getting one as it's that good. 3 of the best nights sleep I've ever had. The bathroom was very large with a great bath and amazing rain shower, just perfect. Tea and coffee are available in the room and Abby puts a jug of fresh milk in your fridge which is a nice touch. There is also a lounge for guests with a TV and 2 very comfy sofas to relax in. Reports from the other members of my family are the same, everyone slept and ate well and the facilities were excellent 👍 If you're planning on visiting this area, staying here is a no brainer. You won't regret it. Thank you for a lovey stay Abby 10/10 😁

Abby is the perfect host and goes out of her way to make you feel connected with both herself and the local countryside and further afield with a wide array of information on walks and local eateries. The kitchen is overflowing with a wide variety of cookbooks and Abby likes to try new things as part of the breakfast offering. For example, on our visit - baked apple porridge with maple butter was rustled up without any prior indication and was sumptuous. Other homemade treats were on offer too which were much appreciated. We always felt that we were in someone’s personal cosy, friendly home. We would without any hesitation highly recommend Newchester Farmhouse. Thank you for a wonderful stay Gerard & Maggi P.S. Wonderful stay in a beautiful countryside retreat. There were nine of us and Newchester Farm served us for our needs. Lots of space and lovely décor with art work and pictures adorning the house. The little but thoughtful touches make a big difference and add to the enjoyment. We prepared dinner at the house on our first evening followed by dinner at the local pub on the second. Both lovely evenings.
