We are a family run pub and restaurant with seven en-suite rooms, situated on the beautiful bankside of the Grand Union Canal, just outside Northampton.   We pride ourselves on providing affordable, comfortable, accommodation and delicious food in a cosy and friendly venue. And the views aren't bad either!    We are proud to serve a delicious menu of modern British cuisine along with a sprinkling of international dishes. Our ingredients are sourced locally (wherever possible) from the finest suppliers. Every dish is cooked fresh to order by our award winning Chef and her team.  Being in such a connected, central location in the UK, it is is no surprise that we have a lot of regular business guests staying with us. We've all the facilities you might need and can arrange packages for business meetings and conferences. And our great rates will keep the Finance Department happy too.

We needed a pit stop as been travelling up from Southampton and there had been many accidents causing delays. Lucky for us they had a room in one of their lodges so we decided to stay. This is in an idyllic spot on the Grand Union canal. We had a great walk and lovely evening meal watching the boats going up and down followed by a good night's sleep. The bed was comfy the linen crisp and clean and it had a hot shower, looks like they had just had a makeover. We had breakfast which was very tasty. Would recommend this lovely place.

100% would recommend - stayed here and the service from start to finish was exquisite. Every time I’ve been, the staff have been so friendly and helpful, and the food is fantastic. Huge credit to the chef and the rest of the staff, it’s a great restaurant. Excellent location as well with it being right on the canal - whether you’re there for a drink, a meal, or staying there, you won’t be disappointed! Will definitely be returning!

Bar staff friendly and courteous, but £6.50 for a single gin and tonic is on the pricey side. Food dreadful. Burger and chips, with the chips served in a mini metal fryer cage, oh dear. Fries tasted like they had shared the same oil as the fish on the menu, and were clearly a frozen bought in product. Burger bland, overcooked, dry, unseasoned in a value range looking bun for £14. No side salad,or coleslaw for your money only the meagre bun and limp salad dressing, which looked embarrassed to be there. The barman was so friendly (and new) I didn't have the heart to complain and knowing that I won't go there again, didn't really see the point. I don't know the credentials of the 'chef' but save your money and don't eat here. The gallery pictures on the website didn't reflect my culinary experience today at all. What a shame, great location, should have been lovely.

We just stopped for a drink or two. We took a walk along the canal and popped in. We sat outside in the beer garden and enjoyed the view of the canal. Their drinks are average price. We had a look at their menu, it seemed reasonably priced. Food selection is simple, so makes choosing easy if you get frazzled by large menus. Dog friendly, which is always a bonus.

Lovely food in a lovely setting. We had Sunday roasts looking out across the canal to the fields and church beyond. The food was hot and tasty and the staff were friendly and hardworking. We really enjoyed our late lunch and will definitely be back.
