Not suitable for us. Not much to do really. Swimming, pool tables, long walks in lovely scenery. Other people may love it's quietness etc but not our idea of relaxation

It seems no coincidence that during the Summer months when Mill Farm is operating as a holiday site that we experience local vandalism and pilfering (stealing) together with rubbish strewn road verges. The people that visit this site seem to have no respect for the countryside or the local village community. - A disgruntled villager

Had our first visit on a Saturday in October. (Off peak season) Was me my wife and 2 girls. Unfortunately wasn't impressed, had a large group of teens swarming around with no parents in sight. Seemed to be everywhere, boisterous, snogging in the pool, screaming and fighting in changing rooms and the trampoline room. Staff were young and had mind's elsewhere. Trampoline room had young girl supervising too many out of control kids (no parents) had headphones in and hood up sat in corner. Swimming pool was full of dirt and sediments floating around, wish I forgot my goggles because it was a nice little pool, warm and fun slide for kids, again overshadowed by unruly youths. Lifeguard was sat listening to his speaker, on his phone and too busy to watch anyone. Outdoor pool was closed (off season) Boating pool was just a couple of wet boats available filled with old apples so didn't bother. Bmx track not maintained or worth a visit but kids did have fun. Shame as I can see the park has loads of potential and is local to me. May have just been a bad visit due to the guests which we had the company of, but was a bit disappointed by the whole experience.

It is a sad day when you have to write a obituary, I shall try, it is with great sadness I write today to say goodbye to mill farm. What once was a local, family, fun site which you would always be welcome has now closed its doors to outsiders, only allowing pitches for people who store their caravans there. No more jolly weekend breaks, no more peddling in the lake, or chips from the onsite chippy, now, unless you are privileged enough to store your caravan there, you simply aren't good enough. It seems, that, even if space is free, it can't be booked by a outsider in case someone from storage wants that space, so it is left, unkempt and unused whilst the families that have supported them, and grown up with fond memories are now shunned and pushed aside. Even tenting is now finished and only caravans entertained, and only those that store on site. Only today i was told, for the second time in 3 months, to book elswhere to be sure to get a holiday, as one wont be availible here. It will pain me, in a few years to see a building site where once stood a centre for family fun, but this is the way of the world now, so today we must mourn, and say goodbye to what used to be, and move on to pastures new. Plenty of local places to choose from, such as Burton springs, splatt view, old oaks and withy water, all now ready to serve new people with fond memories. So I end by saying goodbye and farewell, and look forward to many new memories at many new places.
