My mum has been living at meadows edge since January 2019. She has a bright spacious and very clean room. The quality of staff are generally excellent. (You will always find they have their off day. They are only human ). My mum has vascular dementia and needs full nursing care. There are no restrictions on visiting times day or night you are made welcome. On visiting the first time I was made aware of the kitchen and where I could get a drink for myself or my mum. I felt this was good as allow me to make sure my mother is not left thirsty. (staff have busy shifts and it may take a little longer to get around to helping her to drink sometimes.) The entertainment is on everyday and everyone who can is encouraged to join in. (could do with more one to one idea for those who need it) It is hard to please all I know. The cook is very willing to try new things (if you feel your relative is not eating as well as you think they could). I would have no worries at present in recommending this home to anyone for their relatives. I spend nearly every day here visiting my mum it is like a second home to me. ☺

Friends relative just passed away, after few year's at this care home and they did Absolutely everything to make his last years happy. He was Lithuanian and they always made sure that he has his Lithuanian food. They even found his family after everyone else failed. Can't fould this care home in any way!!! Good luck guys, you the best!!!

My father moved into this home nearing the end of his life.this care home had been recommended to me by a close family friend! I’m glad I took their advice and trusted their choice. The care my father received was higher than my expectation. They cared for him to the highest quality,never did he go without anything. He always seemed to be comfortable, warm,well fed and never wanted for anything. Most of all he was happy.The staff were all polite,friendly,caring,compassionate and very welcoming! We were always offered drinks and food whilst visiting. Staff took the time to talk with us and comforted us at times of need.Myself and my family were kept well informed at every stage. We were lucky enough to be there for my fathers final hours and the staff maintained professionalism and ensured he was comfy. I would highly reccomend this care home and have requested that IF I ever need to go into care my children send me to meadows edge.well done to all the carers, nurses, all the management and the very patient polite administrator! Thank you again for all your hard work,keep it up.

Meadows Edge had a dementia patient and within 12 days, and in my opinion, finished off the patient. No food or water was offered in over 4-5 days other than “mouth swab care”. The DNR on record in my view, could’ve potentially been seen as a licensed to kill by the care home. Even more alarming when the local undertakers say they have a high workload from this home. Senior staff who lie about running a small team, but yet have a high turn over of agency staff. Also it is alleged they did not provide a Doctor to the patient when the conditioning was worsening which could have fundamentally saved him. Instead off taking an approach of playing god. Be very very cautious and one needn’t look further than Companies House and the Directors lengthy business history as a starter. The Quality Care Commissioner did not rate this Meadow Edge as outstanding.

Very poor the person who contact me was very rude she offer me a job and I did tell her that I was going to think because another place was offering me high rate per hour and she told me that no one will offer me more because I'm a normal carers so rude and unprofessional I do imaging how treat the residents.
