Camping and glamping in beautiful countryside with easy access to historic Cambridge and a range of attractions.

With five acres of grassy fields, a pond, colourful wildflowers, bird boxes, and lines of newly planted trees and hedges, we combine fun and environmentally friendly camping and glamping.

Walks run from the site to Ely, and onwards to Cambridge, so you can wander, be close to nature, enjoy and switch off.

The Mad Hatter’s theme runs throughout the campsite, with a play house and adventure trail.

Each pitch is also themed with its own unique name and signposted with Mad Hatter’s charm and a firepit.

We have excellent wash facilities with large shower rooms and plenty of space, and a cosy coffee room to warm up on those rainy days.

The walk to Ely along the River Ouse is particularly stunning, with amazing views of Ely Cathedral.

We pride ourselves on being a single use, plastic free campsite
– please can you bring reusable cups and containers on site.
Do not bring an single use plastic water bottles onto the campsite.

Come try our classic but classy camping, or a taste of our truly glamorous glamping.

We were booked here for 7 nights and absolutely loved it! The site is really quirky and totally different from just being a field to pitch up in! We were met by Sam on arrival who gave us all the information we needed and showed us to our pitch. Sam was an absolute diamond and a real credit to Mad Hatters. The toilet and shower block is really nice with hot water, powerful showers and even a family bathroom with a bath for the kiddies. The towel rails have a 'boost' button so when I would wake for the loo at 5am, I'd turn all the towel rails on boost so by waking up time the block was lovely and warm! We had use of a fire pit at our pitch. Logs (£5) and fire lighters (£1) were available from the site for ease. We had our 6 month old puppy with us who enjoyed her walks around the site and out into the field belonging to the campsite. We had to leave a day early as rain was predicted for the last day and didn't fancy packing the tent up in the rain... gutted we left but will definately return!

Stayed here for one night in our camper van. A really delightful and very friendly site, superb facilities, the best I’ve seen! Excellent for families as well as for a pair of young at heart pensioners like us! The site manager, Sam was very friendly and informative and very much in tune with the ethos of the site. Will most definitely be returning!

Absolutely wonderful place for camping, glamping and everything in between. I spent a really restful few days based here and tramping around the local area. Ely is a gentle hour's walk away. The glamping cabins are *awesome* as are the rest of the facilities. Clean, well maintained, accessible. Communication is excellent. I arrived several hours before check-in time, was welcomed and supported with a personal visit from Claire. Lovely place, will be back with the family and friends, for sure.

Great campsite that offers a range of camping options from cabins, timber tents, camping pitches (byo tent) and saw a few camper vans. Spacious area. Lovely views. The bathroom and shower facilities were some of the best I've seen. Proper flush toilets and separate shower rooms with enough space to get kids clean and tidy after a day of outdoor play. Nice educational/environmental messaging throughout... And symbology and quotes from Through the Looking Glass tastefully decorating things.
