I love this local shop. However, I was very disappointed to see that they sell products which contain palm oil. As you know palm oil tree plantations have a devastating effect on wildlife, the land, ecosystems and local communities. I have found food products which do not contain palm oil and so I know it is possible for you to also make positive, planet-friendly choices not to support this industry. I hope that you take this into consideration and search for alternatives as I would love to see this lovely, local village shop which proudly supports 'palm-oil free' products.

Can any one please be realistic? Cakes that cost the earth, Tea and cake for 2 £20 plus with a small hot piece of food. Typical village shop only attracting a clientele that have high levels of disposable income. Single mother treating kids no chance, Working class man taking treats home once a week no chance . This is geared up for upper class 70k plus a year families If you don't believe me buy a coffee, 2 cakes, and a breakfast . Then a treat for wife and kids then you will know. The home made items are brought in then boxed because the ingredients are From mass caterers . Highly potentious place. Also only 5 star reviews looks like in-house

This is an excellent stop for hungry and thirsty cyclists and others to indulge in a drink and a slice of home made cake or something a bit more substantial. It is run by volunteers who are very welcoming. There is a comfortable area at the back of the shop where people can relax and enjoy their food and drink while looking out at an adventurous playground for children.
