RESIDENTIAL AND NURSING CARE

Knellwood provides excellent senior residential and nursing care. Originally it was a large Victorian country house which has in recent years been enlarged by the addition of two wings and is set in a delightful garden with several acres of lawn and woodland.

The Trustees and staff of Knellwood are committed to providing the very best individualised and person-centred care in a warm, homely environment that respects everyone’s right to privacy, dignity and personal choice. In addition to residential and 24-hour nursing care, we can also provide quality short term respite.

We are acutely aware of just how daunting the prospect of a move to a Care Home can be to a person who has previously led a full and independent life. With this in mind, our aim is to ensure that each person is cared for in a manner which promotes as much independence as possible with the appropriate support measures in place. Where possible, residents may bring small items of furniture and personal effects to place in their accommodation.

The Home operates as a non-profit making charity, which is called ‘The Farnborough (War Memorial) Housing Society Ltd’. It is run by a Board of Management with a Registered Manager providing day-to-day control. It offers a homely atmosphere, comfortable accommodation, excellent food and a 24-hour care service.

Today is our mums birthday. Our family had a lovely afternoon in the conservatory at knellwood celebrating with our mum & nan. We were treated to a lovely buffet prepared by knellwoods kitchen staff. Mum had a lovely cake made for her by kay. The conservatory had been decorated beautifully by tracey. She was on hand for anything we may have needed. We had a special time with our mum & nan. We cannot thank krishnan enough for making it very special & his staff for all they do for the residents We are very grateful. Kind regards janet mick pauline wayne sue Tia * delana & gene.

My dad Norman spent his final year here. The staff have all been amazing, and made the end so easy and peacefull for my dad..Thank you so much from all the family.
