A Bit About Me

I have always been passionate about sport and exercise I have been playing football since the age of 6; I have been fortunate enough to represent clubs such as Stoke City, Nottingham Forest, West Bromwich Albion, Notts County and now currently Derby County. My football career has given me exposure to topflight coaches, fitness and strength and conditioning instructors; how they have made me excel is now what I want to translate in the gym environment to help others improve in their health and fitness. Whether this is weight loss, improving in a sport, adding muscle or even to make you look and feel better.

Furthermore, I have a passion for how exercise can be used in a way to improve health and quality of life; rather than just aesthetic appearance. This is why I have specialised GP exercise referral to help those with conditions such as COPD, asthma, arthritis, osteoarthritis, anxiety, and depression. I have then gone onto specialise further in my Level 4 Diabetes, Obesity and metabolic syndrome management qualification to specifically help people with these conditions, to prescribe exercise and nutritional advice to improve or even reverse/manage symptoms.  This is an area that is increasingly more prevalent in modern society with case numbers of type 2 diabetes doubling since the 1990s due to lifestyle factors and even those without such conditions can take preventative measures through positive lifestyle change.

I am also a sports massage therapist to treat injuries as well as a pilates and chair exercise instructor to keep those less able stay active!

Kirsty has been brilliant! Highly motivating and very knowledgeable! I am recovering from an injury and Kirsty is going above and beyond my rehab sending over different excercises for me to do on top of my pt sessions with her ! She’s very approachable and very bubbly !

After hitting the gym to get in shape for my wedding this September and not stretching enough my back, shoulders and legs have been in pieces. Kirsty and her sports massage has been an amazing find and within a couple of session has made an amazing difference. Very highly recommended.

I cannot speak highly enough of Kirsty and her Personal Training sessions. I started with her at the beginning of November and have not only lost a stone and seen a significant change in my body shape but also feel a huge difference in my mental health and positivity levels. To achieve this whilst in lockdown is a testament to Kirsty’s method of coaching, motivating and always keeping it fun! Most importantly, Kirsty’s PT it is a way of losing weight and being healthy that is sustainable which I have not experienced in other weight loss methods! Thank you, Kirsty!

During lock down I put on over a stone and had my wedding booked in Dec, I haven't done any real training or exercise for years so I decided to contact Kirsty early July with plans of loosing the weight & toning up. I was slightly apprehensive about starting PT sessions as I was totally unfit but Kirsty put me at ease & is very easy to talk to & understanding of what goals you want to achieve. I've had between 2-4 sessions each week & the results have been amazing. I've lost over 1st but just as important I've lost approx 15cms off my thighs arms waist & hips. Not only do I look better I feel so much stronger & fitter. I am unmotivated to exercise even though I had a wedding booked so for me a personal trainer was perfect as once your sessions are booked there is no excuse and you have to do them. find most exercise like running/treadmills & bikes boring but the sessions are great fun & an hour goes by so quickly. Every session is different and never boring & i've even done a few sessions at a gym with Kirsty which makes a nice change & a chance to use some new equipment, its now nearly October & Kirsty is upping the work rate in my sessions & as I get fitter I can do more & more.Kirsty also is brilliant giving you support & motivation with nutrition her help & advice has been excellent & she is very knowledgeable. Going forward I plan to continue PT sessions and make it part of my weekly routine & I cant wait to see what the results are in another 4 months. I can highly recommend Kirsty for her knowledge, PT skills & professionalism.

So the nature of my work, working out and DIY In the home has caused me great pain in my back. Kirsty came the day after messaging her, diagnosed the problem was scar tissue in my rotator cuffs and also raised tense muscles all to the left of my back. She sorted the causes of the problem and my back feels so much better! Would highly recommend
