Kings Head

This is a community based grassroots project to help nature recover, as close as our local pub gardens!

Lead by conservationist Tiffany Wallace. Working with Justin Harvey, landlord of the King's Head, Hethersett, who has pledged the gardens to wildlife as part ofWild East's movement for nature restoration.

This project aims to protect existing wildlife and create features which will welcome wildlife and increase biodiversity.

The project includes educating the public on the value of native species, and includes plans to run wildlife workshop days to teach young people to connect with nature.

We are currently collecting for pond building materials, and to buy some native species to attract more wildlife. We have built bird houses so far, and have one hedgehog house with plans for more. We are also hoping to build and keep bees as our wildflower meadow and woodland species develop.

It is very important that this is done as naturally as possible, with expert advice and respect for all life.
