We stayed 2 nights at the Kings Arms in Fleggburgh last week, in the "Owl" Lodge, one of three lodges separate from the pub. A fantastic room, just great with super bath/shower ensuite. (and the room had air conditioning!). The staff were wonderful, genuinely friendly and helpful, it made staying there very enjoyable! The food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious, top class in fact, we had an amazing dinner, with lovely wines and drinks, and gorgeous breakfasts too. (I actually declared that my steak dinner was the best meal I have ever had!). We shall definitely be returning there for another stay.

Absolutely superb food beautifully presented and served. They were able to adapt the menu for our gluten free needs with no drama. Can honestly say this was one of the best meals we have had in a long while. Thank you to the chef and the waiting staff well done all of you.

Had a wonderful lunch here today, food was excellent and service calm and confident. The chicken with wild mushrooms was excellent, so tasty with great depth of flavour. We were surprised to find the set lunch menu so reasonably priced. Will definitely come again and bring friends.

Booked ahead for lunch as feared we wouldn't get a table but it wasn't too busy to my surprise. I went for the Pigeon Breast starter and my partner went for the Scallops. She loved the explosion of flavours that accompanied the Scallops. My Pigeon breast was a bit lost in the other flavours of the dish but it did not detract from my enjoyment as it was a great plate of food. For main I had the Cod, crab cake and leek. On balance I think the madras cauliflower could have been left out and nothing would have been lost. There was a bit too much sauce and leek for my liking but the crab cake and cod were lovely. Her main was the Suffolk lamb which went down very well. Could have done with perhaps a minute more cook time as she is not a fan of rare meat, For deserts we both opted for the Chocolate bar with Guinness Ice-cream. The bar itself was lovely but the Ice-Cream was a miss for us. It had a metallic zinc type flavour and I found the mix to contain solid ice. We both passed on eating. I have had to knock a star off as we ordered coffee and I have got to say it was possibly the worst I have ever had. It was like an instant coffee with a packet froth on the top. We had to send both of them back. Bit baffling that such an establishment would not have a decent coffee, but it would not put us off visiting again.

Quite possibly the best T Bone steak I have eaten in a very long time ! The staff are very attentive, friendly and welcoming...the lovely young lady that looked after us even brought water to our table for our whippet! The Timothy Taylor ale was spot on ! This is a little gem of a place and in my humble opinion well worth a visit. Well done guys !
