The quality of service we received from K Kakes was first class. From our initial enquiry, to the delicious taster box we received in the post and to top it off, our wedding cake was stunning to look at as well as to taste. Our wedding guests loved every bite and loved they could take some home to savour the taste. Chi made our wedding cake and it was unbelievably delicious and looked absolutely stunning! We are so happy with it and had so many compliments. Chi was also lovely to work with and was very organised in setting everything up etc.

Very disappointing experience. We used Chi for our wedding cake a couple of months ago. Unfortunately on the day of our wedding, during our cake cutting we were unable to cut a slice of cake as it was crumbling. Our caterer then attempted to cut the cake in to slices to serve to our guests and the same thing was happening to them. The experienced caterers were not comfortable serving the guests any of the cake. . When I then explained this to Chi after the day was over, her response was simply that she followed her usual ingredients and routine and nothing should have been different. We received little acknowledgment or any offer of compromise. There is no denying our cake looked stunning, however the truth of the matter is we did not serve a single slice to a guest at our wedding.

I tried to place an order, i will admit i asked a lot of questions, which i feel is normal especially if you cant see something in real life. Firstly, I rudely asked if i was just phishing for prices because I was asking a lot of questions, as I had not placed an order before. I shook off this comment as I figured this is something that may occur a lot. Then, once I had decided on a design, due to a change in plans, I made a change which was not welcomed at all and instead I received a rude reply and was asked to look elsewhere. Honestly, I was impressed with her work, just not her attitude!
