Very average fish and anaemic chips. Worse than that, the lady running the van is one of the angriest and rudest people I’ve ever met. She slammed the door open, and seemed utterly fed up to see us waiting there. We happily said hello, and we’re duly ignored and given evil looks. She also shouted at another lady about peas. Should not be allowed in a customer facing role. Absolutely NOTHING “Jolly” about it.

I got this fish and chips from the mobile van whilst on holiday. I read the reviews and thought great. But was very disappointed. Just because the food is very reasonably priced it was frozen fish battered and the colour of the batter was brown, not a light golden colour. The fish was slimy in the mouth. Dirty brown grease was left on my plate under the fish. Customer skills of the van assistants was non existent. No cod, no pickled onions. Awful experience never again.

Jolly Roger fish and chip van comes to Sutton on sea caravan club site two or three times a week when we’re there in summer after ten years of going to this fantastic site this autumn night was the first time we have bought fish and chips from the van, gosh we’ve been missing out was delicious far better than the chip shop in town. Will definitely dine from this gem, clean friendly run mobile restaurant again.
