Hanspeter Tang2 StarI was a tenant through Jackie Quinn, but also own a property elsewhere as a landlord.
Overall Jackie Quinn was ok. The worst thing about them is the lack of organisation and response from them. Perhaps they are overworked, I'm not sure, but God they really need to work on being more organised.
The response times from the office was severely lacking, expecting maybe up to 2 weeks at times for a response (whilst also having to chase up in the meantime MULTIPLE times).
The most disappointing experience with Jackie Quinn was organising my check out. This was beyond terrible as they had booked me in through this external company to which I agreed a time to meet at the property and took a day off work. I soon find out the day before the check out company was booked in error - but not through Jackie Quinn. They had not reached out at all, despite the external contractor telling them to let me know.
In their emails they explicitly say "you need to show receipts from an external cleaning company or your deposit will be delayed". We cleaned ourselves (thoroughly as you'd expect) and got 99% of our deposit back. But please take your own pictures as evidence when you check into the property.
I would also like to mention it is against the law for them to make it mandatory for you to ask a cleaning company for your check out, despite what I would call a very border-line threat. Please see Tenant Fees Act 2019.
I guess Jackie Quinn could have been worse but would I go back with them again? Probably not. If I were to buy a property in Surrey, would I trust them to handle my property? Because of their lack of responses and poor organisation, probably not.Sunday 9th October 2022
