A beautiful building steeped in history, Hutton Poplars Hall is ideal for all types of private & corporate events with a fully staffed licensed bar & ample parking.  There are two event spaces available, the Main Hall which can cater for up to 250 standing and the Lansbury Suite which is ideal for up to 40 seated.

Hutton Poplars Hall is an approved venue for civil ceremonies and registrars can be booked direct through Essex County Council.

What could be a beautiful venue is ruined by terrible management. She almost ruined my parents day that they had waited over 30 years for. She is incompetent, has no time keeping skills and doesn't seem to care at all.

I've given 2 stars only for the beautiful architecture. The customer service is appalling! I attended a party last weekend and due to miscommunication between the celebrant and her son who booked the venue, the party had to come to an end almost 2hrs before it was scheduled to end. The caretaker did not care that the celebrant had not danced yet and was so rigid. We had to leave the hall. Definitely won't be recommending this as a venue. There should be some degree of flexibility and compromise when certain situations arise, even if it involves charging extra. 30min extra time would have at least given the celebrant the opportunity to dance and have a bit of fun on her special day.

Spacious but needs an overhaul. No baby change facilities. Good location. Some lock up staff need some customer care training but most of them really friendly.

Huge old hall with a lot of character, ideal for large weddings and receptions. Large parking area, convenient location for access from Kent and beyond.

A lovely old hall, which is large and has a stage. They are able to put on and cater for many types of events. Would recommend viewing.
